The compulsory Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Management Course Stage One has to be undertaken by all solicitors before the end of their third CPD year after qualification as a solicitor. This Pegasus course complies with the SRA’s Training Regulations 1990 (as amended) and qualifies each participant for seven CPD hours.

Our aim, at Pegasus, is to make this course as practical and relevant as possible to the skills need by young lawyers in their day-to-day work. The course highlights the need for developing those skills through a greater understanding of the basic principles of law firm organisation and management in the context of a very dynamic and changing legal industry.

All workshops incorporate the principles of effective workshop design set out on our Training Workshops page. The requirement set down by the SRA is for 7 hours training but this could be incorporated into other training e.g. a 2 day course allowing more delegates more time to review and develop skills in the areas covered.

The design of the workshop can be tailored specifically to the needs of your law firm or, for instance, Law Societies.

Workshop Objectives

The objectives of the course are:

  • To introduce and promote greater understanding of the basic principles and techniques of strategy; management and client care
  • To apply those principles and techniques into the context of law firms and, in particular, the delegate’s law firm or organisation
